Are you going to Bouchercon in Calgary (Oct. 21 to 25)? If so, come visit! I’ll be at:
Three Truths and a Lie, organized by Crime Writers of Canada, on Thursday, Oct. 22 @ 11:30 a.m. in the Media Room.
Crime writers are experts at crafting believable lies, but can they fool a room full of readers? Each presenter will arrive with three true facts about themselves. Then, just before taking the stage, they’ll be given a false fact to weave into the mix. Their challenge is to convince the audience that all four statements are true. Armed with curiosity and a healthy dose of suspicion, audience members will play detective, questioning the authors and searching for clues. Join us for a lively game of deduction, storytelling, and literary sleuthing.
Presenters: Charlotte Morganti, Madeleine Callway, Marcelle Dubé, and Sara Driscoll
Host: Erik D’Souza; Chief Lie Detector: Barbara Fradkin
Join us—it’s sure to be fun!
Crime Writers of Canada Table, on Friday, Oct. 23 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., in the Bouchercon Book Room. I’ll be sharing the table with Hilary Davidson, Vicki Delany, and Madona Skaff-Koren.
Drop in and say hi!
